Oh Matt,
One thing that always keeps me from making a permanent decision is that I think of all of the people I would hurt. I think about my family, my colleagues, even my pets. I know you don't feel supported IRL now, but what about us?!? Do you realize how much we'd (here at Babble) all hurt if you did something like that?
Of course this srategy is not going to feel like enough to keep you well long term, but it is something that can latch on to for now to get you through the hardest times.
