Lexapro got switched to Tier-3 recently for me

Posted by utopizen on August 29, 2005, at 20:25:00

My insurance recently, a few months ago, switched Lexapro from Tier-2 to Tier-3.

Obviously, it's a message to say to my doc, "What, you're too good for Celexa, eh? Fancy smancy! Your patients will pay, pay I tell you!!!"

(Ok, maybe they're not trying to tell such a message...)

But this is annoying. Desoxyn is a Tier-3, and Able Labs no longer makes the generic for it (along with, well, all their other generics, lol).

That's $35x2 just for Desoxyn and Lexapro! It use to be $10 and $15 for the pair.

Thank god I don't care, since the Klonopin Wafers are somehow generic suddenly. Soon, I'll get those in a few days, for generic co-pay ($!0 for me) and all concerns will melt away.

And I may not even bother to care to explain why amphetamines prolong neuronal lifespan to someone I will never meet.

Ah, Thank God for Luddenbeck! Or whoever invented the benzos at Roche.

And praise the 3 generic companies for having the audacity to bring Klonopin Wafers out of patent before it was even sold for 2 years! My pharmacist was like, "Oh, no, that's a pretty new drug" when I asked her if they were in stock for the generic versions.

I insisted she look it up, and her face got all raised in amazement.

I love our legal system.
