Fluoxetine (Prozac) did cause less fatigue, etc but I still ended up a bit lethargic. It's certainly the least problem-causing SSRI I've taken. Sertraline (Lustral, Zoloft) made me feel just 'wierd'. It also caused less lethargy but it gave me vivid/bad dreams, and 'strange' thoughts. Not great for my SP iether.

I've tried all other SSRIs except fluvoxamine. Anything 'primarily' serotonergic is a no-no for me. Also tried venlafaxine, nefazodone, and clomipramine, all with basically a similar 'slow down' result.

I find it bizarre how paroxetine is often a first line treatment for SP and yet 'everyone' I've known on it not only get lethergic, but niether does it help thier SP much. I guess that when thier doctors ask how they are, they often say "well I am CALMER (surprise surprise)". But if they asked them specifically how thier SP was (which they never semm to do), I think they would get a much different responce! And it annoys me when they put the lethargy down to the 'depression'.

Still, my girlfriend takes Prozac for her moods and SP and is doing well (she also got lethargic on paroxetine). Each to thier own I guess.
