Who here takes Xanax?

I take 1mg of Clonazpeam (Klonopin) for panic 5 times daily.
Thats ALOT.
Klonopin sometimes depresses me, well actually it does.
Does Xanax work right away? klonopin takes some time to start working, up to 15min during a panic attack.
Just wanted to know why your doctor chose Xanax.
