Deprenyl was an effective antidepressant for me. I have long-term endogenous major depression, and deprenyl came closer than any one med to bringing me back to normal, at 20mg per day, at which dose it seems to act mainly on MAO-B.
There was no effect on my heart-rate or blood pressure, and watching my diet for tyramine--a dangerous side-effect for some MAO-inhibitors--proved totally unnecessary. Mood was improved, and motivation and drive also. I have taken perhaps twenty other antidepressants, and none of them did as much for me.

Unfortunately, deprenyl/selegiline is metabolized by your body into amphetamines, so you are guaranteed to fail any drug-test while taking it.
I got further benefit from combining deprenyl with Remeron/mirtazipine.
