GOING TO START PAXIL--GOOD IDEA OR NOT????

Any success stories on Paxil? How bad are the side effects? I've been off Effexor for about 7 months and it's been HELL. I'm going to start taking Paxil for social anxiety. Is this a good idea?? I've been doing research and have been reading the other threads on this site and it all seems so HOPELESS, like all the meds are harmful and that there's no cure out there for me. I don't know what to do.
Please, I need as much advice and support as I can get.
