Abilify Effexor XR- Slow My Intrusive Thoughts?

Pdoc wants me to think about taking *a little bit of abilify* in addition to Effexor XR. She says it will slow down my negative intrusive thoughts. *Put brakes on them.*

Anyone have any experience with abilify & effexor combo to slow down negative/worry thoughts? I'm currently taking 300 mg of Effexor XR. Pdoc wants to increase it up to 375 mg (I've been that high of a dose before) but adding abiilfy is something new.

I don't sleep withouth alcohol or ambien, and slowing down the thoughts might help with that, too.

I'd appreciate anyone's expertise. My pdoc told me to research abilify. I knew exactly where to go- to the experts.
