It depends what you take. If you take propranolol you will feel tired. Nadolol has a similar structure to propranolol is as effective, is more hydrophil (!), has a long half-life.
Slow-Trasicor or Trasicor (Oxprenolol) definately does not sedate, it even stimulates the sympathicus but also
diminish it, when a lot of adrenaline is in your bood (ISA).The structure of almost every betablocker is related to adrenaline itself.
Both are treatments for performance anxiety, panic... with less side-effects
