Effexor vesus Wellbutrin Questions

Posted by jerimycoplo on July 16, 2005, at 18:42:03

Hi I was wondering what is more effective (if there is a consensus) for depression between Effexor and Wellbutrin. Also looking for any comments about their experiences from people who have tried both for depression and also for people who had one of the two added to their normal anxiety med and how that worked.
(i have generalized anxiety/social phobia and developed some depression as a result of it).
I'd appreciate any feedback. Maybe about which one kicks in faster and lesser known side effects. For example, effexor helped with depression somewhat but took a while. I just started on wellbutrin 75mg and what i notice different is that although i feel some extra anxiety i feel alot more confident (isent that weird?) and to some extent in control/decisive, easier to be angered...never had those experiences with effexor tho...

thanx alot
jc
