I'm otherwise healthy, and not taking any other drugs besides birth control and supplements (vitamins, fish oil, DMAE). Would it be a big risk to take an occasional Tramadol while on Elavil?

I don't know the answer to your question...I typically take 25 mg of Elavil in the evening to help with sleep. I have some Tramadol that I take on occasion because it will pull me out of a depressed state pretty quickly for a period of time. I try not to take them concurrently.
I'm not sure what to make of the drug. People argue as to whether or not it's an opioid. I first took it for back pain then discovered its anti-depressant effects. I would be interested in hearing more about your experience with Tramadol.
warm regards ~Jake
