I have also heard that they can make one psychotic. I guess that's more likely if you take too much or take it with other illegal drugs.
If taken in the recommended doses, I think that they are supposed to be about the safest of all of the prescription drugs. The exception is Cylert (pemoline). Cylert can cause liver problems in some people.

As far as a I know its very hard to get prescribed a stimulant in the UK but less so in other countries, it seems a lot more posters than I would expect are taking a stimulant, are they really more ok than I think?
