I took Cymbalta late last year for a couple of months for depression. I have always been particularly susceptible to getting headaches, especially from even light alcohol drinking. While on Cymbalta I did notice that I had absolutely no headaches whatsoever. So I do believe there is a strong anti-pain component to the med.
