Makes me wonder what Lexapro is doing for me, both my doctors insist I stay on it because they say it's a very good medication and will pay off in time (but I've been on it for 6 months now at 30mg). Maybe the feeling of physically weakness is all in my head as an incorrect belief that I've ingrained in my brain as an OCD-assumption-obsession? Or maybe it's a symptom of my depression (but then why would Xanax be so helpful for it?)

>Yes, I can relate. I spent a couple of months feeling weak, shaky, mentally fried, and had no appetite, but when I pushed myself I could do what had to be done. I eventually went to my regular doc, who prescribed antibiotics on the off chance I had a bladder infection. I felt much better within about 48 hours. I still feel a little shaky but everything else has improved.
I had myself half convinced it was "all in my head" because I worried about an upcoming vacation. I didn't have a bladder infection. All my tests came back normal, but I obviously had *something* that the antibiotics zapped.
OTOH, depression does make a person feel tired and weak.
I'd complain to my docs about the Lexapro. You should have gotten some benefits after 6 months--it doesn't take that long for an AD to work.
