Did your new doc suggest that you switch to Cymbalta, or add it to Lexapro? Most people would take one or the other. But I guess combining them could also be tried as long as the dosages are low.

I have been on both, but not at the same time. They were both very effective for me. Cymbalta made me less tired. Although it was very effective for both my anxiety and depression (I took 60 mg), I occasionally lost my temper on it and that's why I stopped taking it.

When I took Lexapro by itself, I took 40 mg. I now take 10 mg Lexapro along with 200 mg of Provigil.

My new doc suggests I try Cymbalta. I've read all the posts on it, but found none from any folks taking it with Lexapro. Anyone out there who liked their Lex but wanted an upgrade and added a Cymbalta chaser?
