I see re-uptake inhibitors being the main anti-depressants for about the next 60 years. Maybe a new ssri or a controlled realesed version of one that is alreay out. Or some isomers of existing ssri's. Then I think we will start seeing more snris(effexor). probably see about 5 of those come out. Then well will seen the patent extending techniques on those. The we will see tri re-uptake inhibitors that also work on dopamine. So I think most of us will be dead before anything really new comes out.
