Cymbalta - how does it work?

Can anyone explain in layman's terms (I have trouble reading the pharmacology in the PDR) what Cymbalta does regarding norepinephrine? Also, can you explain the effect that norepinephrine has on the body? Doesn't it convert to epinephrine, which is essentially adrenaline?
