Rasagiline, a selective irreversible MAO-B inhibitor will be available in the UK in the next few weeks. It will be sold under the brand name AZILECT for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Rasagiline is similar in many ways to selegiline but lacks selegiline's amphetamine metabolites. Rasagiline may be useful in psychiatry in a similar manner to selegiline.
