Bipolar I --what meds work and how many at a time

Posted by Mandy on June 22, 2005, at 12:14:21

I have had bipolar I dx for a few years but am tired of taking so many meds--currently on Wellbutrin SR150mg, Lexapro 10mg, Lamictal 150mg twice a day, Klonopin 1 mg twice a day, and Lunesta 3 mg. I am stable except for some days when I just have NO energy(about once a week). What are others experiences--Do I really need more than one anti-depressant and which AD works best for bipolar? I know the Lamictal works great and the Lunesta has helped sleep, but I would really like to get rid of the others or at least limit to one only. One more question, please, has anyone just used remeron as AD with Lamictal?
