I took Valerian years ago. It was too strong for me. I would take it at night, but then I felt sedated all the following day.Many folks (on this site) find that Buspar is too light for them, but it may be just right for you considering your experience with Valerian.
I have zero side effects from Buspar. I take 30mg nightly and rarely 15mg during the day "if" I have to work alongside my boss!
