Hi Rainbow.
I'm sorry you feel neglected. Yes, it is a common problem. Perhaps the weight of the consequences should someone suggest to you something deleterious to you or the baby dissuades people from making recommendations. Larry Hoover submitted a treatise on this issue perhaps a year a go. It was excellent.
You will find some conflicting opinions out there. Some say it is recommended that you abstain from medication during the first trimester to avoid birth defects. Others advocate tapering medication prepuerally so that the baby doesn't have to experience a withdrawal syndrome that can be quite serious.
If it were me, I think I would opt in the direction of continuing medication if you feel there is a high risk of relapse. During the last trimester, you might want to begin tapering medication in such a way as to prevent a withdrawal syndome appearing. You can take a look at the "Withdrawal" board for ways to go about this with minimal discomfort. Whatever you experience, the child also experiences in one way or another. I believe one can discontinue a medication within a month if they taper it the right way.
Congratulations!
