IMHO there are 2 major contributors to the failure:
-strong GABA effect (actually may be depressing)
-total lack of dopamine
-potential Parnate addiction

This would also explain why I responded only to Parnate and fluoxetine ( as I know fluoxetine has dopaminergic effect too).
