> I have been on some form of medication for most of the last 7 years. Most recently I was taking effexxor and wellbutrin from about 8/01 to 12/04. I started to realize the medication was doing weird things to me, was diagnosed with fibromayalgia, and when a doctor tried to increase the dose, i noticed everything got worse. Yet, going off effexor was a nightmare. And, admittedly I didn’t really taper much because I only had so many pills. That was January. I have since gained a lot of weight. The last few months have been a blur, but at some point I decided wellbutrin was the cause of this (when I first went on effexor I actually lost weight..). So I stopped taking welbutrin and bought a bunch of books on amino acids, etc. I thought they were helping to some degree. I've slowly made a few strides. But, then this weekend I totally broke down. I now can barely function. I had a friend call me Monday night and we had a long chat about it. Obviously, I need to go back on something. ..

I have started taking the welbutrin again. But, I saw somewhere on this board that often they don’t work the second time around? Should I once again add the effexxor, thinking perhaps doing that might relieve all the bloating?

Have you tried to use some of the Bach flower essences to help manage things while you decrease your meds? Thay can be a big help. Even just the Rescue Remedy which is easily available can get you thru the day. You can look into them online.
