Hi Ed,>
> What dose of fluoxetine and clomipramine are you on at the moment? How is your OCD? Do you still feel apathitic during the day?I'm on 50mg fluoxetine and 30mg clomipramine. My OCD remains quite well controlled. Re: apathy, I just started a course at college, and have felt sufficiently motivated and alert to do this one class, that was for the first few days, while I was sleeping well with immovane.
Now I don't know if it's 3 x 7.5 mg/day of immovane building up, and sedating me, or it's just stopped working, or if it's that I don't want to face a reality that not everyone is wired for science, and this is adding to the stress. I don't know. On that combination, I was still definately not myself, but while I was 'sleeping' I was definately more alert, motivated etc. . enough that I was happy to be doing the biology class. The GP I'm seeing recommends we slowly reduce the clomipramine, but of course this will be impossible if the insomnia isn't resolved. I have my first appt. with the psychiatrist on June 1st.
Insomnia has always been the cheif concern with SSRI's for me- I don't know whether the SSRI's stop working, the sleeping pills stop working, orthe sleeping pills build up to sedating levels..
I do know, that for four months, when I first started prozac years ago, and had never before taken Immovane, I felt terrific. Since then, they're have been challenges
I have been swimming x3/week, I don't know whether exercise make a significant enough difference to make it worthwhile with this severity of insomnia

I've never tried Ambien, is it very different from zopiclone? It's not avail. in Canada, but I might be able to get it via special access.> >The Good news, is that on the first of June, I'm FINALLY, seeing a psychiatrist, who's purpoted to be good....
