If your dose is under 100mg/day, it is very unlikely that you will experience any weight gain. If it is over 400mg/day, then you may notice some weight gain, but it can be prevented by diet and exercise changes. In between these doses, it varies by person.

In my opinion, weight gain caused by seroquel has to do with either increased hunger and/or less figeting, toe-tapping, or other excited/anxious movements (which means fewer calories burned throughout the day). It is not like thyroid problem that cannot be fought by diet and exercise.
