Its unfortunate they haven't approved the other two atypicals; sometimes Canada is "ahead" of the US, sometimes not. But back to the question, none of the above are medicines intended for primary depression. If you're referring to psychotic depression, depression with psychotic features, any of the above that can be tolerated with the least EPS (side effects) is best -- this generally, but not always follows with their potency. e.g. potency here in the US:
Risperdal >> (Geodon and Abilify) >> Zyprexa >> Seroquel roughly.
Otherwise, primary nonpsychotic depression, there exist here (US) over a dozen different medications from the 1970s to the present, so I couldn't possibly say which would be best. Its often a hit or miss thing and something best discussed with your doctor for your particular case.
