Re: Can ADs CAUSE Depression?

I have major depression (I think) and pretty much every AD I've taken (SSRIs, TriCyclics, Novel) have made me feel more depressed initially. All my T's have never heard of this happening before.

In fact, when I started Reboxetine, I had literally non-stop suicidal thoughts for 2 weeks. That was quite unpleasant.

There is a growing body of evidence/thought that ADs can "provoke" suicide in some very depressed patients since it gives them the get-up-and-go to actually do it. Which, whilst ironic, is kinda sad.

Sorry that this doesn't directly address your question i.e. w.r.t. being Bipolar, but it's vaguely pertinent.
