Lexapro itchiness

Hi there,
I am new to this site. I have a question about itchiness. I took 225mg of Effexor XR for almost a year and recently switched to Lexapro 20mg. Since switching, I am constantly itchy (no rash). My doctor tells me the itchiness is unrelated to the meds, but I am not convinced. Could it be withdrawal from the Effexor or start up of the Lex? Thanks for any help.
