Doxepin was great for me for a while, I think I was on 150mg. Seemed to be good for my depression too but that wore off :(. Gave me a good night sleep but that also wore off lol. But hey, Zyprexa doesnt even make me sleepy and i hear that its highly sedating lol. Anyeay, yea doxepin for me was very tollerable. I was on surmontil (i think im not quite sure exactly if its the right drug) and if it is, I was only on it for sleep. I would wake up in the morning feeling a bit groggy. Doxepin never did that to me.
Take care

> I'd like to hear from anyone who has taken Sinequan or Surmontil. I was thinking about taking just a tiny dose at bedtime rather than a full antidepressant dose. Surmontil sounds like a strange drug and, in most respects, I think it's probably not going to work for me; however, I was interested in the fact that it does NOT suppress REM sleep. I read some posts in the archives about both meds, and some people say that Sinequan is worse as far as side effects; others say that Surmontil is worse as far as side effects. I'd like to hear from anyone who has taken one or the other or both. Thanks.
