Just a report on my second night of Lunestra.
I have been on Ambien 10mg (for sleep onset) and lorazepam 1-2mg (for sleep maintanence) for years.
I had hoped the Lunestra might substitute for both Ambien and lorazepam, so that I could be on one less medication.
Last night I took 3mg Lunestra and 1 1/2mg lorazepam (I don't want to suddenly discontinue lorazepam and precipitate rebound anxiety and insomnea) about 11pm. At 1 AM I was still not sleepy. This is why I have been taking Ambien - lorazapem does not make me fall asleep.
Anyway I went to bed at 1:30am but could not fall asleep, fitful tossing and turning. Finally at about 3:00am I got up and took 5mg Ambien. I then went to sleep and was fine for the rest of the night.
Have others who are long term Ambien uses found that Lunestra does or does not 'forcefully induce sleep' like Ambien?
Tonight I'm going to take 2mg lorazepam and 3mg Lunestra at about 9pm and see how that goes.
