ed_uk Lexapro, Trazodone, Wellbutrin SR

Posted by flipsactown on April 11, 2005, at 23:55:45

ed_uk,

My depression had for the most part lifted with 30mg Lexapro and 100mg Trazodone. Trazodone was mainly to help me sleep. However, after 7 months, I started feeling depressed, but mainly used my CBT skills to deal with it. Then by the 9th month, I asked my pdoc if perhaps an increase in Lexapro was needed to which he responded that I was at the max and added Wellbutrin SR, 150mg AM and 150 in afternoon instead. It has been 10 days and I definitely feel my depression lifting again. I had tried Wellbutrin with Prozac or Zoloft and felt the Wellbutrin was ineffective.

In your researches, have you read anything about Lexapro, Trazodone and Wellbutrin SR combo. I know it is working for me now, knock on wood, but I am curious to know the chemical interactions and why it is working?

Thanks
FST
