tyramine (poll)

Posted by ixus on April 11, 2005, at 18:23:38

Hi all,
just some possible theory has come to my mind. Aren't you more depressed after red wine, beer than after vodka, gin, white wine?
It could be that high dose of tyramine stimulates MAO production in body and causes brain monoamines shortage as a result.
Atypicals may be more sensitive to that possible mechanism (I am).
