> I have read some of your posts on Dextrostat...I am 26, and I have been ADHD since about the 4th grade ( I went from honor roll to failing in one year - had the facial ticks that year - supposedly that is one sign of an onset of this disorder), although I didn't discover it until after high school (still failing out). I have been on and off meds over the years, but I am attempting to get my life together and see if taking pills helps. I am a very bright individual - but am a procrastinator extrodinaire...blah blah blah, you know the story...anyway - I am currently only taking 5mg twice daily. I feel like it works sometimes, but not others - any advice on getting the full benefits of this drug? I mean, if I am going to take amphetamines - i would like it to be doing something, ya know... i feel really relaxed, but sometimes impatient or edgy, and very thirsty too - ugh - I find it odd and frustrating that even though I can hardly swallow right now - I am not getting off of this chair to get water! So I should be doing homework right now (I am back in school)- and I am behind, of course...isn't this drug supposed to get me focused on the right things - not spending the entire night on the computer searching for ADHD solutions and information? It is 12:30!

If your question is to get the most out of your Dex pills then Sodium Bicarb-Tums, or excess stomach acid medicine will potentiate them, by lowering stomach acid.
Avoid vitamin C or urinary acidifiers, which increase their elimination, and of course a higher dose as you have found.
