How many other meds have you tried to relieve your depression and what dosage did you go up to on each? Often people do not get relief from an AD because they are not taking a therapeutic dose of the med. And sometimes (more often than not) the therapeutic dose is higher than stated in the PDR so some pdocs won't go over. I've been lucky in my pdocs have realised that I metabolise meds quickly. When I was on Prazac I had to take 80 mg a day for relief.
The point I am getting at is the you will experience weight gain if you stay on the Symbyax. Some people gain 25 pounds or so on Zyprexa. So you might want to revisit the ADs that you have tried and some that you have not.
So what have you tried and at what dosage?
