Adderall, for me, is far superior to ritalin xr. Actually, I've only ever tried the generic ritatlin xr (methylphenidate..i think). Adderall has fewer side effects for me. Ritalin made me *very* irritable anc cranky. In addition, it was not nearly as effective in controlling my ADD symptoms. Felt much weaker than adderall and not as 'smooth' in action if you know what i mean.
