I don't mean to contradict banga, but I have to say I am not so fond of Clomipramine.
I don't have OCD but I took it for Anxiety, Social anxiety and depression.

I think Clomipramine is a good drug, it certainly is very effective for anxiety.

Unfortunatly it comes with many side effects.
I experienced extreme daytime sedation to begin with, although it did get better. I also had a very dry mouth which didn't get better.

As to weight gain I found Clomipramine to be bad in terms of weight gain, I was only on it for a few months and I gained a lot of weight which I still haven't lost:(
I think it also made me a bit tired during the day.
To conclude I think it is a very effective drug, if you can tolerate it!
