Hi Ed.
I thought Reboxetine's efficacy was good, but the side effects were intolerable. I am ultra-sensitive to most meds, though, and I would not discourage others from trying it, but THEY MUST START AT A VERY LOW DOSE AND TITRATE SLOWLY. I think the "therapeutic dose" is 8 mg (uncertain about that). Do NOT start at that dose. Cut the pills as small as you can and titrate; otherwise, you might get scared away. I thought Reboxetine was much better than Strattera for mood; however, both Reboxetine and Strattera gave me such terrible insomnia and twitches that I couldn't stay on them. I woke up every hour to hour and a half. I also had bad constipation that was worse on Strattera. I'm not fond of Strattera. It's unfortunate that Reboxetine isn't available in the U.S. I do think that some people who do well on meds like desipramine or Ludiomil could benefit from it if they would remember to start low and go slow(ly). I also think that people who benefit from Stattera would benefit more from Reboxetine. For the majority, I get the feeling that Strattera is sort of like Cymbalta --much ado about nothing.
