Re: Mood Stabilizers?

I used to take Wellbutrin and never had a seizure problem. My daughter takes it as well right now, as well as Topamax for mood stabilization. She hasn't had any trouble at all. You should be honest with your doctor, and express your concerns. She should be able to talk openly with you, and there is always the chance that sometime you may want to try a different mood stabilizer anyway. My daughter tried a couple and went back to topamax. I have been down that "worry road" and it's easier to make that call to the pdoc, and ask the questions. As for the stablizers you have taken, I am only familiar with Trileptal. I have heard great things about it, and I am thinking that 600mg is pretty high? My daughter tried it, but at a MUCH lower dosage. -L
