ECT anyone? and then what, med?

Okay, so I am doing very badly here. I am thinking that the chances of my getting into that DBS study are slim, but I will of course wait.
But if I don't ... then what.
Has anyone here had ECT? Did you then continue with meds afterwards? Are you glad you made the choice to have the ECT?
