Hey! 60mgs of Adderall is quite a bit, but its not unusual..I take 60mgs, divided into 2 doses (one instant-release 30mg tab in the morning, one again early afternoon) and I like it. It works much better since I ditched Abilify (10-15mgs), which I was taking to help treat depression with psychotic features. Anyway, if you're having problems with the Adderall "wearing off" (quite common, TRUST ME), there are a couple things you can do. Some people do best when they do a 2-dose system where one dose is the XR adderall and the "booster" is the standard, immediate-release version. I used to do this, and its OK. Another option is just using the immediate-release tablets a couple of times a day. I usually do just fine with 2 30mg immediate-release tablets; I seem to get more "oomph" than when I did the XR+immediate-release thing. Keep in mind that with dexedrine and adderall, it seems that the size of the dose affects how long it lasts; so a 10mg tablet won't last as long as a 30mg tablet. Try to drink mostly water when you're taking amphetamine products--not only does it cut down on calories and carbs, it keeps your stomach's pH more neutral, while fruit juice and some sodas have a tendency to make the stomach more acidic, which messes with amphetamine absorption. Try also to avoid eating anything more than you absolutely must for about an hour after each dose of adderall or any other amphetamine product. If you need to, you can always try dividing the total amount into 3, instead of 2, doses, if you're using the immediate-release adderall. You can divvy it up evenly, or take a higher dose in the morning (or whenever you need more). Good luck!
