Hi!
>Secondly Polifarmacy is fround upon in the UK and is generaly only used for hospital inpatients.
You're not kidding. The pharmacist almost had a seizure when I was on two ADs at once and THIS WAS IN A PSYCH HOSPITAL. She said she'd never come across anyone on two ADs before! My doc prescribed a combo of lofepramine and citalopram, but only after I'd brought in loads of data on drug interactions. He was scared but he did it, he'd never had a patient on more than one AD at once, and THIS WAS A CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST.
>For one thing its all but impossible to get stimulants prescribed in the UK.
True, unless you're a highly irritating little child running wild in the classroom and swearing at the teachers. None of the classical stims are approved for use in adults here. Apparantly, in the UK, you can't have ADD unless you're wildly hyperactive. Also, only in the UK does ADD dissapear overnight when you hit puberty.
Best of luck,
Ed.
