It probably inhibits norepinephrine uptake, and binds to the histamine H1 receptor.....I say probably, because human studies and rat studies show rather different results. It could be that individual people vary substantially on the histaminic and noradrenergic effects. That would translate into different effects on appetite and resting metabolic rate.
The most potent thing you can probably do, to enhance the weight-loss potential, is to decrease your fat/lean ratio.....i.e. increase muscle consumption of energy. Increase your exercise level, in other words.
