Yes, I also got some activation on Trileptal.. that probably explained why it worked a little better on the depressive side than Depakote for me. Another possibility is that you are getting a little bit of a withdrawal from the Depakote. I had that when I switched Depakote before to something else. If it wasn't for the super nausea I get from it (Trileptal), I probably would be taking it instead of Depakote now myself. You might even consider at some point a low-dose combo of both Trileptal and Depakote, if the Dep seemed to help with anxiety that is.
