Hey Spriggy,
I'd say it's pretty "normal" to be scared of things that are outside of our so-called "normal" experience. My only advice is to just accept the feelings for what they are and try not to analyse them or worse start thinking about the bad that must inevitably come after it.
I know it can be weird to feel 'good' because it's outside your comfort zone, but try to just 'be' and enjoy it. An alterative therapist I see once told to try and think high and low energy rather than good and bad, because this takes away all the connotations that good and bad carry with them and because the flow of energy is a completely natural phenomena that constantly varies in intensity.
Just enjoy it okay, it's all part of the journey.
