Hi mmcconathy :
If you 'still' think you need some form of 'potent' med. for your 'dysphoric' problem, ... then you could take a VERY tiny dosage of the Zyprexa, like the 2.5 mg., even 1.25 mg. by cutting a tiny, 2.5 mg. in a half. If you'd find this help your problem, then move up even the 5 mg. However, at this dosage, the 5 mg., an 'average dosage,' you certainly need your pdoc.'s advice along with a good instruction and education regarding the Zyprexa. For me, Zyprexa has been helping me on the 'dysphoric' side along with other several problems due to Bp II. I could recommend you, ... but again you need to be cautious not to go up quick. There might be other 'option' available to you. But, in my knowledge, even one 'five' years old boy taking this med., Zyprexa for his problem. Then, at your age, 17-18 age, I never surprise you started thinking of med., like Zyprexa which has more 'powerful' efficacy to fix your problem in short-time period.
