As is the case with so many "alarms", it may be that this thing happens to a miniscule percentage of people. No statistics were given.
The most important fact described in this article is that the blood levels of Gabitril are much higher than when it is used in combination with other anticonvulsants. It is critical that this be taken into consideration when Gabitril is prescribed by psychiatrist. They should probably reduce by 50% the dosages recommended for epilepsy.
