Is Effexor effective? I have tried others....

to no avail. I was just prescribed Effexor yesterday. I was previously on Paxil which made me so very drowsy all the time & I gained a lot of weight on it. Tried Buspar too, didn't work for me.

Any input on side effects while on it, & withdrawals when off it very welcomed!!!
