I think you would experience some withdrawal if you were to discontinue it abruptly. You might want to take 10mg for 5 days or so. You might experience some anxiety, nervousness, fatigue, and vivid dreaming.

Did you taper gradually with Zoloft? How about with Effexor?

How, then, would account for a worsening OCD? Do you think it is due to an increase in anxiety from discontinuing Parnate? Perhaps the Parnate was helping, but you were taking too low a dosage.

What's the next step for you?

It is not necessary to wait more than 2 weeks. 2 weeks is a very conservative waiting period.
