For 6 months I did not look at a calendar to know when the moon would be at its fullest (yes, I realise one can look up in the sky). And I was consistently hypomanic 3 days before and then crash the day after the full moon. So I would decrease my anti-depressant (Parnate, extremely short half life) and increase my mood stabilisers and it helped a great deal.
