My pdoc switched me over to Geoden today. Short history...been on all of them at one time or another. Effexor was the drug that almost ruined (ended) my life (was on three year at max dose). Two months off that, still side effects, but seeing slow but steady improvements. The last two months I have been on Lamictal and Welbutrin which not only didn't help, but kicked anxiety, depression, anger, wild mood swings into high gear. Got a little scared of myself...lol. Not sure why he didn't mention Seroquel. Never heard of Geoden, but after reading the potential side effects I will tread lightly and call at the first sign of any of those symptoms. But I don't typically have many problems with side effects (except the Effexor "discontinuation" BS).
What type of half-life? How long until I might notice any type of change (couple of days vs. weeks). I was told it was probably sedating and to take it at night. I am already on Provigil which REALLY helps with the brain fog of some of these AD's. Would be interested in keeping up with how everyone else is doing on this drug. Isn't it relatively new to the market?
