Yes I'm in the US, and it is very hard to get amphetamines prescribed for depression. You get it only if you're ADD. So I have to find a source for it or else find a new psychiatrist and start acting like I have ADD real good :) I don't know what that would be like, like maybe some of the symptoms of depression (like not being able to concentrate) except no depression. Once you showed him you were depressed it's bye bye ADD and bye bye amphetamine.

> are you in the US? i don't know whether getting amphetamines is easier or harder in other countries. i thinkn i'm borderline ADD-- some drs say yes, others blame my inattention and hyperness of bipolar. one dr started me on high-dose wellbutrin, strattera, and provigil. my next pdoc moved to adderall and ritalin. so one dr started the process, and the other dr who had worked with the previous guy, continued the process. i'm also 21 now and have been inattentive and hyper all my life, so i don't know if drs are more willing to prescribe for younger patients who have shown symptoms since childhood. my pdocs have always been very liberal about prescribing controlled substances. if i took everything as prescribed, i would have too many addictions or at least dependencies to count. it's irresponsible prescribing, but for me it's sort of comforting to have these things in stock. keep me posted!
